We make room for the extra material. We've been doing this a long time so we know how to make sure everything fits correctly:

I'm not 100% sure what you are asking.

We remove material from the original part to make room for the carbon fiber, epoxy, and clearcoat.

Ahh I see what your saying. Sorry I'm just very process oriented so I'm trying to understand what would happen to my trim when you overlay it. So you just belt sand off a uniform amount of the trim to thin it before applying the veneer?

If we overlay your trim, you'll never be able to go back to the original trim, if thats what you're getting at. We don't always belt sand the pieces, it depends on the piece in question, how much material needs to be removed, etc. But in the simplest terms, yes, a uniform amount of the original trim is removed before we apply the carbon fiber.

Not that I know of. I will email some of the people who I sold them to and see if I can get some.

We can order an extra set from GM for you for about $650. I'm sure I could get the next customer in line to buy your extra set after you installed the carbon fiber trim and get an exchange rolling.

If anyone is going to send in midnight sapele for exchange, let me know. I would gladly sacrifice, er, swap out my trim instead...

I'm trying to decide if I want to order it again and spend $600 on a new carbon set to wrap or just skip it completely.

That's right, you have a V you're looking to change with the midnight sapele.

Any chance of getting a satin finish? Not a huge fan of the glossy carbon finish.

We could do a matte finish. It would take a little bit longer and cost $100 more, but it could be done.
