I have looked on ebay from time to time, but haven't found anything cheaper than the prices I've been quoted for new pieces from GM. eBay is also notoriously unreliable for pieces like this. Sometimes you can find things cheaper, but then they show up with broken tabs and won't be able to be reinstalled.

Have you all considered doing the face of the interior clock in carbon fiber "look" to match your trim? I think it would contrast beautifully with the piano black center trim.
Probably could be done, but would not be cheap. You'd have to purchase a clock, take it apart, have custom vinyl clock face stickers done, and also figure out how to make room inside the clock for the added material, and then get it back together. I have a feeling it would be more headache than it would be worth unless once was willing to spend the money to make it happen.

You're right about that...funny how the simplest of projects can end up costing a small fortune. I like your carbon trim work though...something I may consider buying shortly.

    Thanks,
    Matt

I'm only interested in getting the center gloss black radio console, shifter, and cup holder area in CF. Does GM sell those pieces separately or would I have to buy a whole kit as you quoted before Matt?

The prices I gave you before are just for the gloss black pieces you've requested. You can purchase them individually if you want, buying them together doesn't bring the price down unfortunately.

Man, I need to get on the forums more often!! Looks awesome, the carbon looks great!

Anyone have the yellow down with the 2-tone seats?

So do you guys only do interior?

My Jeep SRT has some of red carbon love, might be time to add a little to the caddy

For the most part, yes. We can do small, custom exterior parts, but we tend to shy away from big things like hoods, valences, etc.

I just got started on another custom center console set.

I believe so, if they were provided to me.

Any advice as to how to get them off? I'll start looking into it, as well as my center stack. Thanks!

Unfortunately I do not know how to remove any of the pieces in the CTS-V. Most of my customers have taken their cars into a shop to have them professionally removed. I did have one customer who was able to get the center pieces removed by himself and said it was not too difficult, so it is possible to DIY it.

My apologies if this has been addressed already but how is the surface durability of the finish? Given the color contrast vs just lack, I imagine that helps. I can't imagine it would scratch as easily as the stock black finish.

The pieces are clearcoated with an automotive high solids polyurethane clearcoat, so the finish will be as durable as the exterior paint of your car. I'd assume this is much more durable than the plastic.

You could provide a service just clear coating our stockers if someone doesn't want carbon fiber. But that's really a joke.

I'm excited about this. Just need to workout the logistics.

I'm just waiting for something to materialize here, like some kind of miraculous mysterious benefactor to come out of nowhere and absorb the cost of a few sets of center console trim so we can start the cycle of ordering, receiving, swapping and then sending our stock cores back to oCarbon while the next guy waits for his set. Hell, it's better than nothing.
