The first vendor since Jesse in years to get my attention. Nice work sir. I like the forum pricing and clear high quality pics. Hoping to see pics of those red ones on a Crystal Red V, or maybe some V interior parts in grey, in a grey interior someday.

Can the cup holder lid/shift boot surround be done also? It's a vulnerable scratch area in factory piano black.

    Welcome to the forum.

We did that piece too, but it needs a little more work, so it wasn't pictured. I'll take some when we finish it up.[/QUOTE]

Few pictures of that part for you:

Couple more sets finished up and will be shipping out soon. These were done in a standard 2x2 twill.

looks really nice, you seem to be doing these by hand with no vac bagging? How come your using epoxy versus a polyesther

I had some Porsche stuff done years back that yellowed really quickly , i spoke to a few sources who swear poly is the way to go on the top coat. I have no idea i dont work with chemicals. can you elaborate here for us?

We hand lay these particular parts, but we vacuum others. Just depends on the part. Some other parts we do are more complicated and need to be bagged:

Polyester resin (PER) is pretty much the cheapest of the resins and is normally only used in boatbuilding where esthetics don't really matter. Your Porsche parts yellowed because whoever made them was trying to cut costs and probably did use a PER resin, but used one without any UV inhibitors. All carbon fiber yellows eventually, but because our parts are made with high quality epoxy and have several coats of high solids polyurethane clearcoat to help combat the elements.

Not sure who you spoke to about using PER, but I would never recommend using it for any cosmetic parts.

Matt did my brothers audi set about 2-3 years ago and to this day the set has no yellowing. And from what I know that set was using an epoxy that isn't even as good as the stuff he is using now.

That is good to hear. The stuff we used then was still pretty solid, but the stuff we use now is even better. The clearcoat we use now is pretty much as good as it gets, almost $500 a gallon.

If you wouldn't mind, could the guys with the red and large pattern silver piano black pieces post up some pictures of the interiors of your cars? Some of us have been waiting a long time to see how the parts we see in these photos look when installed in the car.

    Inquiring minds want to know!

I don't believe it has been installed yet. I will be sure to post pictures if I get them.

Matt did the dash piece on my B8 S4... awesome work. Matched the rest of my factory carbon nicely. I just want to say A++ to his operation.
