Re: New Toy Alert! CF Interior Trim for CTS-V / CTS

I visited D3 yesterday and had the chance to see the CF interior as well as the prototype paddleshifters. I was quoted pretty much 2500-which coming from the BMW and MBZ world I can say is a pretty damn good price.

I have to say that they have really done a fantastic job with this kit. It looks incredible in person and the fit and finish is perfect. I also got to check out the prototype paddles they have. They feel nice and solid and will be a really fun Toy to play with. I was really baffled to see that Cadillac did not offer them from the factory, even nissan's have them!

is the trim piece connected to the door pocket and speaker cover part of the deal? kind of looks like it from the side shot of the gear shifter

Is D3 going to offer a special discount to the forum members if they have enough buyers for a special group purchase?? (Just thinking out loud.) If so, I'll be interested if the price / and discount is right.

I think we would entertain the idea of doing this. Maybe something like $1995 plus shipping for forum members for a limited time?

    Thanks,

No. It just replaces the faux carbon print. The door speaker is not touched.

    Thank you,

D3, are these paddles steering column mounted or steering wheel mounted? I prefer my paddles to be stationary....especially during turns. This would be a fun addition to the V.

Aww.... did I hurt the internet tough guy's feelings by calling you out for stirring the pot??? I wouldn't have posted anything if you hadn't made your little snippy "precious perfect" CTS-V comment.

BTW...why should I go away? I have a CTS-V...you drive these vaguely mysterious BMWs and MBs. You only come around here to stir stuff up and pleasure us with your insipid commentary of how the CTS-V isn't up to your grand standards. Now run along and enjoy your virtual life...

Not sure you going to get a group buy when they cost 2500 bucks.... who knows though. I know i'd rather spend that kind of money on many other things.

A quality replacement clock would be cool. Just a thought.

I think the location would be a perfect spot for a air/fuel gauge!
