had wheels powdercoated - tire question help

so i just got my stock wheels powdercoated black. they look sweet. pictures to follow.

my question is one of my tires now has a small bump on the side wall. it looks like a finger is pressing it out a inch. hopefully i am explaining this right so you get what i mean. it is hard to see if i take a picture of it. it was not like that when the tire came off. it happened when they put the tire back on.

    any thoughts??

    thanks
    Chad

Have them remount it. And hopefully they didn't break the inner belt, which is hard to do when mounting. Are you sure the tires were perfect when you brought them in? And if they weren't, they should've showed that to you before touching it...

the sidewall was probably pinched, had to replace one of the wife's tires because of that.

That tire is now junk. Do not drive on it. It has a torn sidewall ply and will continue to come apart (most likely at high speed) if you drive on it. Sidewall indentations are fine... bulges are always bad.

Sorry for the bad news, but I think I have confirmed what you already knew.

+3 they torched your sidewall, do not drive at freeway speed on that sucker and get it replaced.

Yeah the tires were perfect when i brought them in. my car only has 2,000 miles on it and i haven't driven it since october. this was the first time i took it anywhere. I have an appt. on Monday at the dealer so they can take a look at it. two of my tires are like this...both on drivers side.

Hopefully the dealer will step up for you. His guy (s) likely damaged them ... however striking just one pothole can do the same thing. You now say both tires on the drivers side have the same damage not just one.

Any chance you or anyone else driving your car encountered a pothole since leaving the dealer? I suspect this question will come up in your discussion Monday.

well now that i look even closer 3 of the 4 tires have a bump on them. only one of the 3 is really big. I don't drive the car in the winter and i drove the car home (3 miles) and put it in the garage and called them 5 minutes after I left. I am the only driver....my wife is a bmw fan
