Not a fan of the wheels, but the lowered look is nice. But that's just me...

What kind of wheels and specs and prices if you don't mind.

I am a HUGE fan of lowering cars.
I always do it to every car I own.

But the D3 springs actually look too low to me.

Re: D3 Springs and New Wheels

I am enjoying the car. So far, the ride quality has been very good and I have not bottomed out yet even with 4 adults. I have had them on for about 3 weeks. The suspension settings still work with the magnetic ride control. D3 did a nice job working with the manufacturer to build these. The stance is improved and the handling feels more crisp. I stuck with my stock tires and installed 19" wheels in place of the stock rims and had to have my rear fenders professionally rolled to eliminate any potential rubbing due to the offset variance. I sold my stock wheels already to another forum member who picked them up this weekend. I am glad that others think as highly of this look as I do. Thanks for the kudos!

I also attached a before shot - lowered with stock wheels. Then another after shot - lowered with aftermarket wheels.

Sexy. Nice location for the shots. Try getting the car at a couple different angles. You might like it better. Alot of times the 3/4 front and rear's look good. Basically approach the car from the front corners of the bumpers angled toward the rear C-pillar. Turn a front wheel so the rim faces inboard of the shot so we don't see tire tread (recently made the tire mistake...Doh) Would also be nice to check out your tire fitment.

Looks great overall. I really need to get some D3 springs ordered for when I get back. That looks HOT!

Thanks for the tips on shooting pics - I am certainly not a professional when it comes to taking pictures but I try. I took a few shots from similar vantage points but the sun or lighting was off a bit......

Re: D3 Springs and New Wheels

After waiting so long for these, I not getting them.
The rear is too low, it doesn't look right.
I know I'm gonna start a big fight here, but I cut my springs and I think it still has a rake and it's better looking...

There's a fine line between an awesome lowered stance and a low life ghetto look.
Sometimes I look at them and love the look, other times I'm not 100% sold. I think if the car sat a .5" higher (especially the rear it would be perfect) - I'm hoping there's another option before late spring (I think this is better than the stock 4x4 look). I really like the look of the Audi S5.

I like the look you got by cutting the stock springs.
