    After-market CTS-V Wheels (for winter)

I am posting this on behalf of my father who recently just took ownership of a black 2009 CTS-V.

Being in Western Michigan, with the loads of snow we have along with salty roads, there is a need for some after-market wheels and tires for the winter months.

I browsed around on sites like tirerack and had no luck. Has anybody put wheels different than stock on their V? If so where did you find them?

I am also curious to the wheel dimensions and what will fit around those monster brakes.

I would appreciate any help you could offer! Thanks!!

    Hello,
Congrats to your father for taking delivery of such a cool new vehicle. I am sure you are going to get some seat time behind the wheel for your wheel research efforts...

We have a wide selection of 3-piece wheels available for the vehicle. I know they are not what you would run for winter, but you can always use them for summer and make your stockers your new winter wheels...

You will need a 5x120 BP w/51 offset. Please let us know if there are any questions.

    Thank you,

    Dr. Design

I purchased a second set of factory rims and I'm running Pirelli sotto240s here in Chicago. They have been great.

If you don't mind me asking...what do a second set of the factory wheels run for? In your case, did you just go through the dealer?

I'm honestly not sure what retail is on them. I had a connection. I didn't want any issues with the TPSM's fitment which I had with my Z06. I'm not saying other wheels don't work, I just didn't want to think about it.

There are a lot of great wheels out there and Dr. Design gave a great response with no arm twisting!

    1. Are the front and rear offsets the same for the 09V?
    2. Is the 51mm offset the same as stock or more aggressive?
    3. What is the widest rim you can run, front and rear?
    Thanks!

Re: After-market CTS-V Wheels (for winter)

The 51mm offset is for the front and 56mm for the per the stamping on the back of the wheels.

We can run a 10.5 on the rear and 9" on the fronts.

Please let us know if there are any questions.

^ do you think that with a 10.5 a 315 rear tire will fit w/out having to roll a fender ?

Re: After-market CTS-V Wheels (for winter)

I think it would take a little more than just rolling the fender to squeeze that bad bad boy in there. We are thinking we can squeeze a 305 in the rear without any mods....

    Thanks,
