    My Lowered V

Here are some pictures of the car lowered. It is leaving in a few hours on the way to Barrett Jackson via HRE to get the 20" wheels on and some photography done Saturday morning. Car is getting ready to go on the dyno before they head out.

It looks beautiful! Perfect stance! I'm sure it was a bit more difficult than lowering my V1.

What springs did you use? Your car looks sick by the way.

Personally? I think it's too low. But that's why we all have opinions.

Not really feeling it, but kudos for being the first to do it.

Looks like you broke the suspension.

I think the V2's stance is too high. But yours is way too low. I need something in between.

    Re: My Lowered V

The drop looks sick but it is a little low. The ideal drop should be where the top of the tire runs parallel to the curveature of the fender curve. Your tire actually goes under the fender. What did you use to drop ? just cut the springs ? how does it affect the ride ?

i think it looks mean as shit!!!! i believe others may think it looks too low because of the large tires... with 20" wheel and low pro' tire... that sounds like one saweet ass combo!!!!

It's this first time I've been able to look at pics of a lowered car (CTSs) and tell without question it is lowered. It must look even more so in person.

    Re: My Lowered V

From a tech standpoint, I'm a noob who knows squat about suspension - but I'm interested in what teh results are on the much touted MR. As a matter of fact, I was thinking the car couldn't even be "lowered" with the MR (other than to throw it out the window and replace it with springs). Is that not the case?

Springs control ride height- the MRC is all in the shocks.

    Re: My Lowered V

The springs were not cut and the MR is still in place. A little welding and a little machining took place. It rides great and can be lowered to whatever height you wish. For the show we wanted a very aggressive look. Once the wheels are on we can raise it if need be, but it should be about right.
