I thought the whole point of doing a lower was to avoid having to replace the upper, which was OBVIOUS to anyone looking....is yours not obvious?

What else is done to the car? Cold air? Headers? Anything? The upper pulley is much cheaper than the lowers, so your combo, if that's all you did, was a good value for the money I think.

I have hidden ones that look like stock. They are 100 bucks.

Can you, or someone else, send a comparison picture between the stock setup and the "hidden" one?

It looks identical Even the front cover fits on it. They are unmarked. Look at your stock one and it is a clone. Just 2.55 in

No one would know its on there unless they measured it.. Looks completely stock. Mine was pressed on(not pinned) and it hasn't moved. No belt slip either.

Yep, this one looks just like stock. I agree, this level of performance/$ is a good value.

if i understand correctly, after installing the 2.55, the car cannot be returned to stock?

If we had access to a "stock" pulley, it could be pressed back on( I guess). My original pulley was mangled when it was removed. Someone needs to sell complete "snout packages" lol...

Power-wise, what's better? Going with the 2.55 upper or the 9.5 lower?

We managed to remove the stock pulley, undamaged, not even a mark on it. I am certain we could re-install it and have it stock again, no problem.

Impressive numbers! I thought the upper pulley was much more difficult to change than the lower? Is that not true?

I would expect the upper pulley swap versus the lower pulley would improve revability as well. Since the lower pulley swap increases the diameter of the rotating mass, where the upper pulley actually reduces the rotating diameter by a small amount. I wonder if this is noticeable however.

As for warranty concerns I think the tune would be the big red flag, moreso than either pulley swap.

Yeah (on the tune being obvious) I'm not sure why I care, I'll never change it back to take it to the dealer, and they won't care anyway... Gotta get my priorities in order.

The primary point of doing the lower is to help avoid belt slip, which is more likely with the 2.55" upper than the stock upper pulley.
