Belkin bluetooth streaming audio - perfect
Easiest install ever. Wow. I had an aux plug that I was using to plug into my Iphone to listen to my music, but on a thread here someone mentioned the Belkin bluetooth audio. For our V's, it works perfect because the aux plug and the cigarette lighter plug are right next to each other. On top of that, there is an elevated shelf where the Belkin bluetooth device can sit. Here is a pic (ignore everything but the black wires and the Belkin device. Everything else is other stuff):
Okay, I plugged it in, pushed on the top of the device for 8 seconds or so, it starts flashing orange, I go into my bluetooth settings on my Iphone, find it listed, select it, 5 seconds later it's paired. I then click the aux tab on the audio menu, and start playing my music.
I got a call on my Iphone while driving, it stopped the bluetooth audio, phone rang through my original bluetooth connection in the car as normal. When I was finished with the call, I went back to my Iphone and hit play on the song. It picked up where it left off. Turning the car off, it cuts power, so no battery drain.
Anyway, PERFECT set-up for the V. I got it on Amazon for about $50. I have a prime account, ordered Friday, had it on Monday.

I find the hard drive provides the best quality of music. I stored some high bitrate (320kbps+) on there and the same song I had on my AUX input (Nokia cell phone) and through bluetooth (Nokia bluetooth, same as OP) then when I played them all back to back the hard-drive was the best. I can't say whether or not the lower bitrate songs were comparable to eachother but iTunes downloads at 256kbps. Other sites are setting their standard encoding above 256 now, that's how I caught on.
My Wife's Acura TL has streaming Bluetooth audio and it is nice.
When you start the car and Bluetooth was last selected, it automatically picks up the phone and begins where it left off. With Pandora and I heart Radio, there is no need for XM

Re: Belkin bluetooth streaming audio - perfect
If this provided data to the screen like song info I'd go with it, but since it does not, I think I'll just keep using the cord. I checked out a bluetooth wireless in a benz and it was great, it showed all the info on the screen. Darn, I wish our cars had this.
Im pretty much with 1997black on this i have too many cars but use the XM app on the phone, pandora etc via the wire in most of my personal cars amd my work truck so I'm gonna stay old fashioned and wired.
