Winter Tires-I am confused 2012 CTSv Coupe

We get very cold temps, but little snow. Previous threads noticed Pirelli and other assorted $500 tires. Searching Tire Rack and found Bridgestones about 300/each. Tire shop told me the staggard set up must be installed. IOW can't go with Bridgestone 255/40/19 all the way around. The less expensive Pirelli also say 40's all around. BTW, the expensive Pirelli aren't even stocked in Canada...HELP

The Blizzak 255/40-19 can go on a rim up to 10 inches. Find another tire shop that is willing to do the job.

LOL, mine is a Silverado 3500HD...but my heart belongs to my "V"

    ----------

The shop told me that if I don't use the staggard set up I will get ABS alarms....I guess I do look that stupid.

I am running 245/45/18s square on 18 x8.5 drag dr37 wheels, with hankook winter evo tires. Good In the 2 snows we've had so far this year (2" & 5"). No alarms from abs, or traction control. All in with TPMS $1,500, including the wheels which is less than dealer wanted for just pirellis tires alone in stock staggered size on my stock wheels.

I also run this same winter setup on V Sedan, but w/o the TPMS. No ABS crap your talking about. I cant imagine the coupe would be very different. Or just go with Bridgestone 255/40/19 all the way around. Check discounttiredirect.com too!

Ya. I am running 255 40 19 all the way around no problem.

Hankook icept evo. I have a looot of winter driving experience living in northern Canada and these are as good as I have seen barring the studded nokian Hak 7's.

We have snow 6 months of the year....

sounds like a great combo. Which wheel are you using - in looking at the drag website, I see many different choices in that size

This sounds like a really good choice - in the website for the drag wheels I see many choices in this size with different offsets - which specific wheel did you use?
    Thanks

    THANKS to all!
Finally found a good tire shop. Going with the Nokian WRG2 255x40x19, $1200 installed. Bridgestone didn't have anything in stock in all of Canada! Nor did Yokohama, Pirelli, etc.

I have my Bridgestone Blizzaks from my 2009 CTS-V. I won't install on my 2012 until late this month(?). As I recall, they are the same size all around as fronts. You don't need to maintain the stagger. These tires are essential for snow/ice driving. OK for dry but they won't perform as well. You don't want to wear down the numerous little sipes on the treads-that's what makes them work. Call me at 614-736-8407 to further discuss if you wish.
