    Dual-Disc Clutch

I see from the GM Media site that the new V has a "dual-disc clutch". Can anyone tell me what a dual-disc clutch is and looks like? I've had a hard time finding anything about it on the web. A picture/drawing would be awesome (or maybe the page from a service manual).

    Re: Dual-Disc Clutch

Two discs in series that act as a clutch surface, thereby allowing a smaller diameter disc to be used with comparable or greater clamping force than a larger single disc.

So are both discs connected the the transmission input shaft? Or only one of them?

    Re: Dual-Disc Clutch

Both are connected at the same time. Remember, it's a dual disc clutch, not a dual clutch transmission.
