I kept the suction cup mount because I can mount it a little higher where the rear facing sensor still has clear view hut the display is hidden from behind but still visible to the driver.

But there's no denying the Blend Mount is a quality piece...

Been using Blendmount for quite a long while in my V. When I do long family trips in the Mommymobile, I transfer it over because suction cups suck badly.

I used the suction mounts to get it up higher and picked the power up from the interior lites in the ceiling which time out after a few minutes so I don't have to turn the unit off.

I find that if you have new suction cups and don't move them around, they'll stick forever...even in supercold temps...

I have the BlendMount with a direct wire for a Valentine 1 in my GT-R. For my CTS-V, I have a BlendMount also, and am waiting on the direct wire option to become available with the, "Escort Live", feature (so that you don't have to use the coiled cable that comes with it).
