    Inviscord/mirror Tap install question.

I mounted my 9500ix passport with blend mount, looks good. However the wiring to on star is pretty discrete, I either have to cut the insulation around wires, or split the mirror. Has anyone done this install and mind sharing what they did?
    TIA

I do appreciate The link , but my V is 11'. There is NO socket behind the mirror, the harness runs under plastic into the stem of the mirror, so I can try to crack mirror open, rather not or cut into insulation and locate key on and ground. I was wondering if anyone has installed on the newer on star mirrors.

I ran mine through the mirror mount into the map light. The overhead console pulls down and I could fish the wire through the headliner. Mine is switched so there in only power then the ignition is on and the doors are closed. I can take a peek at the color codes is you like. IIRC there was pink, grey, and black. Black was ground, pink was switched. This all from POOR memory

Great. Let me know if you can't figure out the color codes. I can always pop the console to confirm colors. I also used a soldering iron for a vibration-proof connection.

Yes, that is the one I used but could not find again. Thanks for digging it up.
