2010 CTS Sedan Base Bluetooth

I bought a 2010 CTS Sedan Base model which does not have bluetooth. Is there any way to upgrade to have the factory bluetooth? What is needed to have this capibility? I have the hands free calling with On Star but am not able to connect my verizon phone via bluetooth. I called the dealership and they said I needed to add an aftermarker system. I would think the hardware/software is already installed in the car and just needs activated. Any thoughts or answers would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure your car does have the bluetooth capability (All Post April 2008 CTSs should have bluetooth).

Press the push-to-talk button on the steering wheel and when it responds with a tone, say "Hands Free"

The car should respond with "Ready"

Say "Bluetooth"

The car should respond with "Bluetooth Ready". If it does, the car has bluetooth.

It is a factory installed OPTION.
You either have it or you don't. If you don't have it then you don't have it.
The OnStar module is a different part number and there are some other slight hardware and software variations that make it work.
You cannot update a factory non-BT car to have the factory option.

If you didn't buy a car that has it then you will have to find an aftermarket solution.

That's what I figured. You'd think with safety in mind that it would come standard on all cars. No aftermarket product works in conjunction with OnStar and I don't want to lose my OnStar capabiltiies. I guess I'm stuck with buying more minutes through OnStar.
