| Re: 2008 CTS Ride Quality I was trying to find a car that would offer a comfy ride, but not be a gas guzzling boat. I have a 5.7 1992 Brougham and you can't beat the cushy ride, but I've been pleasantly surprised by the ride of the CTS. I drove a number of other vehicles in its class and below its class (Mini Clubman, Volvo C30) and I really enjoy the ride. I especially love the mushy steering when making slow turns. Way better than the "pull" and effort required of the FWD cars. I have the FE1 suspension and don't want anything more stiff. I've been over rough roads but I think I hear the bumps more than I feel them. Everyone however is different in their tolerances. I certainly didn't expect it to be as cushy as
Also, PRICE does not denote comfort. Take a ride in a $100,000+ sports care and you'll feel every pebble in the road. |
