I am currently serving in Iraq, and my car is sitting in storage with 2000 miles on it. not even broken in yet! I just joined the forum, and have a question for everyone.
If you had $5,000 to put into upgrading yout CTS, what would you use it for?
Not really interested in audio/visual...outgrew that....would like performance/exterior upgrades though.
I know about D3 and like their products. Was thinking D3 CAI, Exhaust, Rear Spoiler, smoked tails, tint windows, 20" rims and new Grille....but would like to hear what you would do. $5k doesn't go very far, but it is what I am budgeting to reward myself for the time in Iraq.
NOTE: Heard about the supercharger, but do not want to void any warranties.
Welcome all suggestions/pics! |

I think you are on track with your line of thinking....CAI, exhaust, and maybe the CTS-V wheels. Of course, $5K also buys alot of other cool stuff. |

One of our Navy weapons is protecting the Army Bases. Since the Army is not qualified to operate this system, we are going over to do our part. Appreciate the support! |

Your CTS is one fine car. You forgot to mention the fuzzy dice and curb feelers that your car needs. (You are probably too young to know what I am talking about.) Cat with lighted eyes for back window too.
Be safe, man. |

I am an an old retired Air Force Vietnam veteran and personally I do not understand the need to mod this wonderful car, but that is OK. To Each his Own as my Grandpa used to say. That is what Freedom is all about and that is why you are in Iraq now. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU!!! I know the sacrifices you and your family make every day and I am glad to see that so many people have come to appreciate our military. It sure beats having some people spit on you when you come home. Keep your head down and also keep us up to speed with your mods when you get home. Thanks again! |

American cars ride too high. The Euro cars sit just right, but lack other things that we do right...namely Power. The other stuff later. Just my .02 |

While the job security and sense of pride are amazing, the paycheck leaves something to be desired. Unless you are offering to buy me a V =) . Joking, but the car payments and gas for my little CTS DI are enough for me. Appreciate the insight though! | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
