How do you play iPhone Voice Mail through the handsfree/radio speakers?

Is there a way to do this? My iPhone shows General Motors as a speaker choice and it works fine for phone calls, but I can't seem to play my VMs through the bluetooth/radio connection. Advice?

I don't have an iPhone so I'm only speculating here. The problem is that voicemails on the iPhone aren't traditional VM messages. They are actually MP3 files downloaded from the visual VM server. When you select a message, it doesn't treat it as a phone call and treats it as a media file instead. Because of this, it won't invoke the CTS's handsfree system and that is why voicemails don't play over BT. If you have a normal voicemail access number (usually your own phone number), dial that to check your voicemail throught the CTS.

I believe what MBAi2 said is accurate. I have a BB Storm and use Verizon's visual voicemail and the only way to hear the messages through the speakers on the CTS is by accessing VM in a traditional way.

I just got the iPhone 3GS on Friday. Today I noticed that when I was in the car trying to listen to my voicemail it came out through the bluetooth system of my CTS. Now I dont know if it's the new 3.0 software that has enabled the voicemail to work through the hands-free or the actual new Iphone. I had the 3G with the 3.0 software before I bought the Iphone 3GS but I never tried it. Does anybody have an Iphone 3G with the 3.0 software that can confirm/deny this?
