Did you get er' done?

Re: 2008 CTS Navigation

I'm guessing it didn't work out very well since your selling the units on ebay.
Any idea what went wrong?

You're probably right.....................or else we would be hearing the success story by now. Was really hoping someone had found the answer.

Re: 2008 CTS Navigation

The answer is if you want a nav system buy it when you order the car, along with other options you want. As we have seen, after market installs of things like that don't do very well. It never fails to amaze me when people say they thought they were getting this but got that instead.

Re: 2008 CTS Navigation

From what I saw on ebay, his wife totaled the car. He probably didn't get a chance to get it working before that happened and may not get another CTS or may get one with nav already installed.

OBVIOUSLY, that may be the "easy" way out. However, 'after purchase oem equip/accessory installs' do work and work well as indicated in Corvette C6 installations, specifically the Nav system. I don't think anyone in this thread stated "they thought they were getting this but got that instead". Some of us did however, purchase a CTS from a private owner or dealer without the Nav installed and would like to add the oem option. It is possible and there are some of us who are seeking the details of installation.
