Looks like a tint job is in order. | I would expect that to be standard. Though I hope at least the 'higher' packages include tint! |

The rear windows appear to be ever so slightly darker than the fronts, but certainly not deep tinted like the Escalade or SRX. You can see in easily. For comparison, I think BMW and MB do the same thing on their wagons (no dark SUV type tint). No biggie though, a 3M quality dark tint on the rear windows is an easy aftermarket purchase item. |

The CTS was a breakthrough, despite some quality issues. I love the car but Ive been hit by too many TSBs. Now a CTS 'station wagon'? Come on. Should not have been made. Just cheapens the CTS. Another mistake just like the CTS-V. |

Firstly, Cadillac designed the wagon to compete in Europe, where wagons are much more popular than SUVs. I've been surprised how much buzz there has been about the wagon here. I have friends and acquaintances asking all the time about the wagon as an alternative to an SUV, but with more room than a 3 series wagon or A4 Avant for the same money. Definitely not cheapening the image, but broadening the appeal.
Further, I find your comments on the CTS-V truly baffling. The current V is one of the most highly rated and regarded sedans in the world, getting praise everywhere. It is considered a truly aspirational car, and it's being cross-shopped by people interested in M5 and M3, AMG C, E and, CLS, Jag XFR, Audi S6, and others. Most of these people would never have considered an American car before. As far as prestige, while not an official barometer, valets always park my car up front with the Bentleys, Ferraris, Porsches, Aston Martens, and the expensive Benzes. That never happened with my '08 CTS. The V is definitely not cheapening the image of the CTS. |

Unless he was saying the money spent on the wagon and V could have been spent further developing the CTS. But i don't think he meant that.
i would like to see some diesel options and whiel this is a pipe dream, would like to see all manufacturers put development dollars into lightening their offerings. |

But now I still have to wait longer on the wagon anyway... |

'bout time. The 8/17 date seems to be valid, finally. Klaus-Peter Martin, Cadillac Group Manager indicated it would be the 15th or 17th of August. The wait is finally over and there's light at the end of the tunnel.
Cadillac now need's to update their web site. Features and options are listed for the SportWagon but pricing is still not avaliable, need this for the 'Build You Own' feature. Cadillac indicated they want the dealer's to have the pricing information first. |

Sounds real promising. Let us know what you ordered. Keep in mind, we'll be expecting a lot of pic's at the end of August. Congrats and I hope your delivery date holds up. |
