Park Assist quit!

So after 3 weeks of owning the Cadi I was thinking that I was fortunate to not have some of the problems mentioned in the forum....only to have a new problem!
My DIC states "Park Assist Deactivated" out of the Blue! I go to the menu to turn it back on, but it won't let me move it from the off position!
Anyone else have this issue?
I'm not getting a warm fuzzy, considering several small quality things I've noted (moisture in lights, baggy seats, interior part alignment etc, etc) and now I have to take it in

This happens if the system detects that the sensors are covered by dirt or ice. It will also deactivate if the parking brake is on.

Re: Park Assist quit!

I've tried all of those solutions. Cleaned the bumper, made sure the "P" brake is released...still does it. I was hoping that's all it would be!

Re: Park Assist quit!

Craziest thing!! I went back out to check before I head to the dealer next week....now it's working as it should again.

Re: Park Assist quit!

My truck also has this feature and its often displays this after long periods of not using reverse. It always comes back on with I shift into reverse.

This occurs under the following conditions:
• The driver disables the system.
• The ultrasonic sensors are not clean. Keep the
vehicle’s rear bumper free of mud, dirt, snow,
ice and slush. For cleaning instructions, see
Washing Your Vehicle on page 5-113.
• A trailer was attached to the vehicle, or a bicycle or
an object was hanging out of the trunk during the last
drive cycle, the red light may illuminate in the rear
display. Once the attached object is removed, URPA
will return to normal operation.
• A tow bar is attached to the vehicle.
• The vehicle’s bumper is damaged. Take the vehicle
to your dealer/retailer to repair the system.
• Other conditions may affect system performance,
such as vibrations from a jackhammer or the
compression of air brakes on a very large truck.
If the system is still disabled after driving forward at
least 15 mph (25 km/h), take the vehicle to your
dealer/retailer.
