Invoice is more and employee is more than invoice

PS-Using dealer invoice on my '09 for that info. Also note that of the 3 dealers I went to, 2 were selling to everyone at Employee and the one I bought from was at invoice. They were so hungry to sell that they threw in more perks as incentives without having to ask, such as accessories at cost, free oil changes, free car washes, free Auto Armor paint protection.

MSRP $48,670.00
Dealer Invoice = $44,301.00
Employee Price = $42,812.38

In August 08 I bought a DI 2WD White Diamond 2008 CTS (fully loaded) at Employee Price minus $2,000 rebate, minus $3,537.57 GM World card credit, plus 0.9% 3 years GMAC loan with no money down.

As you see from the above figures that the Dealer Invoice is $1,488.62 higher than the Employee Price plan.

The price went up twice since I bought my car. First because of 2009 model and the second was just another price increase in all CTS models.

Re: Selling All CTS at Dealer Invoice

Employee pricing is much cheaper combined with the $2K loyalty and another $500 from the auto show the CTS's were about as cheap as you're going to get, IMHO. Today? MUCH HIGHER pricing seeing how the rebates have expired. Soon to return though?????

Re: Selling All CTS at Dealer Invoice

isn't the big price difference between invoice, employee, etc, show up most in regard to packages? especially the one that costs around $8k.

Re: Selling All CTS at Dealer Invoice

Just a couple of other points to consider...

1. The Senate has added a tax deduction for the sales tax and loan interest to the current Stimulus bill (likely a 2009 deduction) up to a vehicle cost of $49,500 which covers many CTS's and household incomes below $250K (even if you do not itemize). 11-12-08 through 12-31-09.
2. All GM salary employees have 4 employee discounts (1 per quarter) to give to a "friend" this year. So if you know any GM salary workers - ask for their employee discount. This gives you both the discount and the tax deduction (about $1500 on a $25,000 car).

eta: of course still get your vehicle from the OP.
