Why My CTS (which I happen to love) SUCKS!

I too am in the process of trying to deal with Cadillac's "Customer Service" any helpful tips that you can pass along, they keep calling me back and saying, "We don't have any updated information on your case" and it has been well over a month - I have a significant drive train shudder...

How much was it and how much hassle is it to install the 2009 shark fin antenna? I talked to my dealer about it and they said I would have to have extra holes drilled in the roof, etc. Sorry you are having all those problems.

Latest update-

Trans replaced. Shifts great. *******s forgot to hook up the reverse sensor so my reverse lights and ultrasonic parking assist don't work.

They didn't repair another single solitary thing. Why, you may ask? My installation of a cold air intake caused the check engine light to come on (found out yesterday at my buddie's shop that the MAF was defective). Anyway, the MAF check engine light caused the stabilitrack and traction control to malfunction. NO WARRANTY service. Onstar antenna wire not replaced due to the fact that I have a speaker box in my trunk, where four of the nuts are easily accessible to remove the rear seats in order to get at the OnStar module. NO WARRANTY work performed. I got pissed. Some guy walks by and says "I don't like your tone, son." I explained to him that he was not half the man my dead father was and he should not call me son. I then proceeded to tell him not to butt into other peoples conversations. He fired back with "This is my conversation" I responded back with go f yourself. Turns out he is the owner of the dealership, calls the cops on me to have me escorted from the premises.

I WILL NEVER BUY AN AMERICAN CAR AGAIN! I WENT AGAINST MY BEST JUDGEMENT IN PURCHASING THIS HUNK OF SHIT, AND IT TURNS OUT I WAS SEDUCED BY THE GOOD LOOKS, NOT REALIZING THAT WHAT WAS UNDERNEATH STILL CAME FROM A COMPANY THAT CAN'T EVEN GET BODY GAPS CORRECT! I WOULD LOVE TO HELP THE AMERICAN ECONOMY IN THE FUTURE, AND I WIL MAKE SURE THAT WHATEVER GERMAN OR JAPANESE CAR I PURCHASE HAS ITS FINAL ASSEMBLY IN AMERICA.

To the rest of you guys, best of luck with your cars, but I am through. I hope I can find somebody gullible enough to buy this POS from me and relieve me of my pain.

If you act like that you will get treated accordingly. You may find dealers that are willing to put up with that attitude for a sale but be sure they will be talking about you behind you back.

I don't work at a dealership and it's posts like this that make me glad I don't.

I have many mod's in my car and I still get warranty work performed on my car. It's all about working with the service managers and the technicians. It's amazing how they will go out of their way to help you when you show a little respect. Now if that doesn't work then find a new dealership.

Why not cool down and work with the dealership? If they feel that your mods are interferring with their ability to make repairs, ask what you can do to get the stuff out of their way. Rationally discuss the Stability System problem. If you can't control your temper in a discussion, bring along a friend to speak for you. You can work through this if you try.

I felt bad for you until I read this part. As a former service advisor, I've seen people do just what you did, and the same thing happened to them. I wouldn't go back to that dealer so soon....if they haven't banned you from ever going there again. I guarantee you that by now everyone working at the dealer has heard of you and your SOB story and will refuse to do any work with you.
