Front license plate delete...who's done it?

So, I have decided I want to remove my front plate. Any idea how to do it and plug the holes?

from what i've seen, the majority of the plate brackets are attached with rivets. so you need to get them out. if you do some research people have found a place that sells colored caps that can be placed in the holes. do a little research and you'll find a bunch of stuff. hope this helps a little bit.

The front license plate issue, I think was discussed in this forum back in March 2008 under "Drilled out front plate holder"

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this site and was just going to post about this same topic. I just bought a used 2009 CTS and it came with the front plate already attached. I just ordered some touch up paint from the local dealer (around $7) and was going to find some platic plugs from autozone or kragen. Does anyone who has done something similar to this have any pictures (preferrably on a silver CTS)?

Exactly what I did. Bought the plastic plugs from an Ace hardware store and painted them with touch up paint.

This won't help you guys any but I went one better. Based on all of the discussion in this forum I told my dealer to not put the front license bracket on. I've been driving it like that for three months with no problems or pullovers. The look without the front plate is so much more attractive.

That is exactly what I did. I told my dealer not to put the front plate on. They made me sign a wavier that if I get a ticket, they are not responsible for the ticket. Anyways, I've been driving without the front plate for about 5 months now. I figured out a way to zip tip the front plate to the bottom grill. Just incase I need get a ticket cleared off by the CHP. The zip ties a hidden too, so it looks like the front plates are screwed on to the bumper.

I mounted my plate low using a modified Corvette plate holder.
