I read in a magazine about a place in Florida that converts coupes & sedans into convertibles

http://www.coachbuildersltd.com/CTS2009.html

I love the way their cars look especially the Challenger

I was interested in the '08 CTS and the owner sent me a couple pics but they sold it

I guess i was just wondering how people with CTS's feel about the convertible and whatnot, what do you guys think?

Re: Convertible CTS

I like the Challenger!
but newer 4-door cars just don't seem to be able to pull off the convertible look like the old ones (60's). my opinion.

Re: Convertible CTS

I don't know. Going topless never did it for me. But, I like it when the ladies do.

Seriously? I think there would be many safety, therefore, potential legal issues to consider since it is not OEM and involves structural changes.

Might need to have passengers sign a waiver of liability / responsibility in case of a roll over....

Re: Convertible CTS

Meh. Turns a car with standout looks into one with average looks. Looks very G6-ish, IMO.

Just saying...

Re: Convertible CTS

You guys are rough! I like the CTS convertible, I've been to the company (Coach Builders), they were building three of them in June when I had some maintenance done om my 2000 ElDorado Convertible that they converted back in 2000. The only issue is the cost, some $19,000.00 for the conversion. That's like another car! We'll see how much money i can save in AF this year...

Don't get me wrong - there's nothing wrong with the car. Maybe it's just the colour or the pix but, to me, it looks way blander than the stock sedan. Now that you tell me the price, I am even more apalled that it comes with a vinyl tonneau - but I suppose that a fibreglass lid would require some expensive hardware that would put the price even further out of whack.

Re: Convertible CTS

If you really want a Cadillac convertible you could probably get an XLR for about the same money as a CTS conversion without all the problems.
