2008+ Cadillac CTS General DiscussionDiscuss everything about the 2008 and newer Cadillac CTS that does NOT fall into either the Performance or Appearance Modification category.
I have been using the waffle weave drying cloths from Sonus, While they are great at preventing scratches to the clearcoat, they leave streaks all over the car. This wouldn't be a big deal on a light color paint, but on black it looks bad. I usually need to go over a my car with gloss enhancer and a buffing towel.
Does anyone have a recommendation for another brand? I know this has been discussed before, but many posters just advise getting a good-quality microfiber. I am looking for a specific brand.
I use the synthetic chamois called the Absorber. Works well for me; is wringable and washable. I float it over the water and it absorbs nicely. I try to limit any swiping/wiping hand pressure and let the material remove the water.

I've been using the Absorber for years it works great.
I just use the water sheeting method to remove most of the excess water. Then a standard (and relatively soft) clean towel to remove most of the water on the car and inside the doors/hood/trunk. Then follow up with a waffle-weave or similar drying towel to finish it off, such as the chrome pieces and small areas where water likes to hide.
I've never been a fan of those absorber or chamois type materials. Personal preference of course. Just go with what works best for you and your car. But when it's all done, I've got a nice shiny clean vehicle with no streaks or swirl marks. So I'm happy!
Don't make it too complicated my son loves washing my 2008 CTS and uses a simple hand squeegee.......no drip marks, streaks or anything .....fast and simple.
