Dashboard Electricial Problem?

Hello

I just got me 2009 CTS in August.
I recently am having a problem with the dashboard.
Every once in awhile the light go out & come on & go on & off & then
stops. Dashboard lights flicker!

Anyone else have this problem?

I have the same problem on my 08 its a joke.

My ambient lighting flickers like a strobe light when making low speed turns going over bumps - it has been doing this for 6 months and a couple dealer visits. Last time they replaced some sort of body control computer as well. They can't seem to figure it out - mostly because it is daylight and you can't see it during normal shop hours.

I'll donate $50 to the charity of your choice to anyone that came come up with a solution (other than dimming the lights all the way down).

Cap- so its not a major issue? My brother is Shop Foreman of our Cadillac dealer here in NJ. He is keeping an eye out on it. I will let u know when he looks at it & what the results are.

I am just thankful that its not a major problem, cause i love my baby!

Bump... Anyone found a fix to the flickering interior lights? My dealer tells me they didn't notice anything abnormal. I'm going to take my camcorder for a ride to show them how irritating this is at night.

Yes I have the same with my 2006 CTS in Moscow, Russia, it has been assembled in Kaliningrad, Russia though. But dealer suspects that it is a wire that went loose over bad roads in Russia....

Probably will end up taking the dash apart myself and running through with multimeter....
if any other solutions will appreciate advice.

I think that I have isolated the problem on my car. When my ambient lighting flickers out, I can get it to come back on and stay on by pressing the floorboard with my left foot - pretty much in the same location as where a clutch pedal would hit the carpet. I haven't looked at it yet, but I imagine there is a wire or harness running through this area that is loose or a connector not properly seated. If anyone else is having the same problem try it and let me know if this fixes theirs as well. I'll pull up the carpet when I get a chance and see what is back there.
