Same problem here. Dealer "fixed" it. For a day. I am looking for a replacement pads, ceramic would be great. Has anybody found a replacement? I have FE2....

It is a shame as people look at me very surprised - $50k car with squealing brakes?

Re: Noise When Breaking

Here is a thread from a couple of months back that addressed the brake squeal/noise. I would try the suggestions specified and see if that may solve your noise issue. Check out Nick's advice about "burnishing" and mine about doing some "hard" stops. "Stop and Go" city driving will cause the squeal to occur in a matter of hours. You need to really get on the brakes to get the glaze off the rotors.

firedawg911

thank you. Tried hard braking - did not help. Maybe I need to do it again. Really hard a few times.

Still this is a first car I have ever had with this problem! It should not happen. The brake pads are the culprit I suspect. Wish somebody developed ceramics pads...
