Anything? |

Good article.

We start the wagon build in Mid Jan and the 2 dr in March, hopefully. There are lots of rumors of plant down time because of poor sales. We are getting the first two weeks in Jan. then the rumors are one shift after that. Hopefully not. The coupe and wagon plus the 4 door should keep Lansing Grand River busy |

If it isn't scrapped altogether it will be postponed until better economic conditions return. I can't wait any longer, my 02 MDX is really showing it's age (to me at least) and I need a new car from a psychological standpoint. I may opt for the sedan which is still a beautiful car or turn to Infinity or BMW for my coupe fix. |

If so, I'll hold off on a new car for my wife until then. |

No mention on when we can expect to see the two-door CTS, but its debut will also likely be delayed until next January as well. We're a little lost as to how delaying these debuts will save GM " http://wot.motortrend.com/6311278/au...sts/index.html

By "January" - do you mean 2009 or 2010? |

Originally Posted by NIK By "January" - do you mean 2009 or 2010? | The news is quoting a delay of showing the CTC at the L.A. Show in Nov and waiting until the NAIAS (Detroit) in January, so that's probably Jan 2009 NAIAS. At this point it's just talking delay from an original schedule. That could also change, but I'm betting it's just pushed back a few months. Some of us are hoping/waiting to see the V version come to market. |

I know it is not for everyone's taste, but my opinion is that Cadillac should offer a true White Leather (top quality grade of leather) interior with black accents, modeled after the interior shown on this Mercedes CL550 'Designo' Series, shown in Black with this eye-catching "Mystic White" leather interior--see the pics: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-...1%7C240%3A1308
It is classy and acknowledges Cadillac heritage, just like the CTC design! I'd gladly have mine in that color combo! |

| | Cadillac Owners Fanatic Cadillac(s): Cadillac | | | | | Re: Cts coupe update I don't think now is a very good time to be debating what name the car should be or what color the leather is, in case you haven't read today's latest information regarding GM's ability to survive I can tell you in a nut shell, the news is extremely bleak. They did announce that the cars scheduled for release in 2009 and 2010 would go on as scheduled and then named the CTS wagon and SRX among others, however, glaring in it's absence was the CTS Coupe. With the question of continued viability looming over head whether the CTS Coupe is produced or not may be a very mute point. |

GM delays CTS Coupe, 9-5, 9-4x, Cruze to 2011
Buried among its other massive news announced earlier today in Detroit, General Motors confirmed the long-speculated and rumored delays of a handful of its key products. Formerly set to be released during 2009 as 2010 model-year cars, the Cadillac CTS Coupe, Saab 9-5 wagon and sedan, 9-4x and Chevroelt Cruze have all been pushed back a year.
The most notable of that quintet of new models is the Chevrolet Cruze - Chevy’s upcoming Cobalt replacement - which will go on sale overseas a year before production begins at Lordstown, Ohio. GM is banking on the Cruze as a high-volume, high-profit premium compact car.
Also important to note is that the Saab 9-5 replacements have been pushed back yet another year. The current 9-5 dates to 1998 (1999 in the United States), though it was subject to a fairly extensive 2006 update. This leaves Saab with a small product portfolio since the Chevrolet TrailBlazer-based 9-7x SUV will go out of production when the Moraine, Ohio, assembly plant shuts its doors on December 23.
Though the CTS coupe was delayed, the CTS wagon will still debut as a 2010 model in 2009 |

Though the CTS coupe was delayed, the CTS wagon will still debut as a 2010 model in 2009 | Saw this on Left Lane after I posted my message above; Oh well, back to the drawing board, do I opt for the CTS sedan from a company which may not exist in six months or do I shop BMW, Mercedes and Infiniti for a true coupe. |
