Left STS and bought a 2008 "HOT LAVA" CTS!!!!

Hey Guys,

I have been in the STS forum for at least 4 years now (have owned 5 STSs from the 02 STS to the 06 STS) and had a really bad experience with a used 2005 STS 1SF V8 that i bought certified back in February. Vibrations galore felt through seats and steering. Anyway, went round and round with dealer (who recognized the issue) and cadillac rep, who stated the vibrations were in "factory specs"! WHAT IS "factory specs"???? No one at dealer could give me an answer to that question Well anyway, got fed up and took it back to dealer and they helped me get out of that and into the 08 CTS with the 0% for 60 months!.

I can't begin to tell all you how impressed I am with this car. It is so fun to drive! And looks GREAT!! The STS is boring compared to this. I love it and all the looks i get with the Hot Lava color!

Looks great, congrats, I see you have the navi your going to love it! I know what you mean about the STS, my brother has one you made the right choice.

Congrats on the new car. Just for balance though, I got a Certified STS instead of a new CTS; I'm happy so that's all that matters. And your happy so that's all that matters.

Thanks for the comments guys. I am very happy with this car! I think that the used certified cars are good, I just got one that I could not handle the vibrations, especially the steering wheel shaking, which is not normal for the STS...i know this because I have had a new 2005 and new 2006 STSs and they never did what my used one did. There was something else going on. i am just so relieved to have been able to get rid of it and into something that I very much enjoy! When spending the kind of money on these cars that we do....i expect 100% enjoyment! :-)

first off, congrats on the new ride. also, its pretty cool that you stuck with cadillac after you have those problems with your last car! i know some people would try different car companies. thanks for your loyalty!

Thanks! I was seriously considering leaving cadillac after this experience, even after Cadillac would have nothing to do with a used car. I decided to try one last time. I am hoping that everything holds up on this car. I am already noticing some shaking in the car specifically through the shifter under light acceleration around 50-60mph. I heard that Cadillac knows about this issue and the engineers are finding a fix. Still...I love the car. I think it is the best looking car Cadillac has produced yet! :-)

Nice Ride... I have an STS and I know what you mean. Nothing wrong with mine but technology is behind the times. Will definately look at a CTS next since they are now relatively the same size.
