Re: Reason for visiting forum?

I must agree with just about everyone. I find the forum fascinating. I have learned so much about the car I drive that I would have never found anywhere else. Everyone is so willing to offer their expertise on almost everthing pertaining to our CTS. With a few exceptions it is always a very positive experience!

Re: Reason for visiting forum?

yup.. coming here and visiting other auto websites allows me know the car more than all the sales i met at the dealers at the time when i was in the process to purchase....... how cool. it's like going school and you know more than your professors.

Re: Reason for visiting forum?

To take a break from browsing porn.

Actually, for the same reason as everyone else....

To learn everything I can about the CTS

To be part of a great community. Really cool people here!

Re: Reason for visiting forum?

I appreciate all the information and tips I can find here. People post instructions and pictures of how to do things on the car that I've done, such as removing panels for oil changes, replacing light bulbs with LEDs and replacing shift knob. I'm still learning different things about the navigation system. I like to think I've helped others with my connections with Cadillac engineeirng office and geting questions answered.

Re: Reason for visiting forum?

I been visiting here since March to find out more information on a car that I hope to purchase. All the "inside info" on the gadgets and toys is very interesting and intriguing - learning alot about something I do not have yet. Hearing about some of the major repeat problems and the "coming of bluetooth" a few months ago has caused me to wait for the 2009 MY in hopes that all of you GM "test drivers" will help to solve all (??) the major problems by the second model year. I test drove a 2008 last week and love it. I have a meeting tomorrow with a dealership manager as he is trying to "convince me" to buy a CTS. This forum has given me a lot of background knowlege that helps me to be more cautious about purchasing the most expensive car in my history.

I thank you all for inputs that are both praise and criticism on the car - just be honest. An opinion can not be wrong. (A girlfriend once told me that and I had no come-back for it ... at least one that i would not get slapped in the face for ... darn)

This forum should be of great value to GM. I just don't know if the GM people that should be reading this forum are reading it. The word should be passed on to them because having this many "new" owners with shared opinions, solutions, and fixes should be invaluable to them. It is to many of the forum members as it appears ...

Re: Reason for visiting forum?

I enjoy coming here. I have come to respect several of the regulars who are here to share and help. Car care products that I never would have tried if I hadn't read testimonials of the people who really use them. Heck, I would have been complianing for months about the shift knob if not for bryson17 finding and posting all the information and how to instructions. Oil change information was fantastic. Oh yeah, I have had a few good laughs along the way as well.

Ditto.... I'm also shopping. As for GM reading the forums.. I'm sure someone is. I'm also on Acurazine for my 04 Acura TL. A lot of things mentioned and requested by forum members have made it to the car (Type S, real driving/fog lights, mirror signal LED's and much more).

That's a good write up and I agree with most of it.

Opinions can be wrong, and so can feelings, but they (opinions and feelings) are yours or mine or some bodies. God allows us to have them, but please know, they can be right or wrong.

I'm very glad to be part of this form (for most of the reasons stated in this thread. Lewis

Re: Reason for visiting forum?

This is a very good thread. And I've noticed several excellent posts that show extreme appreciation for this forum.

All that's needed are a few "Supporting Member" badges to keep a good thing going.

Five bucks will get you one... Just cancel a drive-thru to Wendy's one afternoon, and it's covered
