What led you to first come to this forum?

928S asked a similar question earlier, but the poll thing didn't work. It's a good one, and deserves a proper poll.

None of the above. I already had the car - I joined this forum expecting to learn a lot from actual owners. And I did!!

I wanted info and... i got it, like PDF user manuals, voice commands, DIC commands NAV stuff , guide updates,and HDD stuff too.

I learn something every week that's not in the manual

I bet most people who came here specifically because they had a problem don't return. I would think that they would come, see if their problem gets solved, then leave after the problem is gone, or being taken care of.

I would group this under "share your enthusiasm for the car." I almost worded that "came for reason other than a problem" but thought I should try for something less boring. A mistake, it seems.

I came on in when I was looking for info online about Bluetooth for my 08 CTS.
I also have an 08 Escalade and a 97 Eldorado and like to read everyone's stories, opinions and ideas.

I agree! The advice and information I've gotten here is certainly worth the small cost of being a "supporting member". I came here at first because I was having a problem with my '05, then didn't come back 'til this year, when I was considering an '08.

Seriously though, I haven't had many in the shop, nor have I had a chance to play with the gadgetry.
I can look up information from time to time in the manual and otherwise help out just like I do anywhere else on the cadillac forums.

Biggest surprise to me in the results so far is that so many people are new to Cadillac as well as new to the forum. I thought there'd be more people who had a first-gen CTS before getting the 2008.

The 2008 seems to be attracting a lot of people who never considered the first-gen car. Another poll?
