I fell in love with CTS the first time i saw it, however, I honestly don't remember at this point where I saw it! Before I ordered it, I wanted to read what people were saying about it and found this place, along with the Edmunds board. This one was easier and seemed people knew alot more.

This forum made my wait for the car more exciting as I was learning about the car while I was waiting for it. Somebody here assured me I was paying a good price because I didn't know if I was or not and I was obsessing about it (I know NOBODY here understands the idea of obsessing about this car!).

I always get a kick out of people posting pictures of their cars when they get them and everyone oohing and aahing. because....THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME!!!!! But that's the point...

I've also received answers for questions quickly. I got the name of a great detailer in San Diego who took care of my swirl problem from someone on this sight. And I found out about some issues that I was able to make sure didn't exist prior to buying my car.

I am a woman, and although I can appreciate a beautiful car, I cannot say I am a car "enthusiast" like many on this board. I have never been talked down to here and I thank you all for that.

I've had my car since mid November. I have close to 12,000 miles and we just love this car. We do a lot of driving between AZ and San Diego and it has made that commute so much more comfortable. I truly do love this car.

The 2008 seems to be attracting a lot of people who never considered the first-gen car. Another poll?

I think that is true and fairly unique to this particular board.
the new gen CTS, all-new and COTY brought a lot of people over to Cadillac who were never there before. that certainly describes me.
reading other boards an cadillacforums, and talking to some longer term members, there is a perception that many folks on this CTS 2008 board pretty much stay here and don't mingle with anyone non-sigmaII.

Maybe you should just approach them directly? That's how I came to be a Supporting Member -- after I received some help on here, someone (RobertCTS maybe?) asked me to consider it. I hadn't actually even known about Supporting Membership until he mentioned it. If there are a lot of new folks, they may need a reminder. Anyone who benefits from the information on this Forum should be willing to help support it.

I voted for "I was thinking about buying a 2008 CTS" because that was the closest to "I already ordered a 2008 CTS but production had not started yet and I wanted to share my excitement when it finally arrived."

My order when in on the first day GM started accepting orders for the new CTS (back in May of last year). The forum is a great place to learn new things about your car... from TSBs to after market accessories and mods.

I encourage everyone to become a supporting member.
