Anyone have suggestions for floor mats for a 08 CTS with all wheel drive ? I am looking for a type that offers protection from snow and ice among other things.

Sounds like you need Rubbermaid (clear) from Target.

Problem with them fitting the AWD tunnel?

Re: Floor Mat Suggestions

I just ordered WeatherTech floor liners, which are exact fits for the AWD model (at least they claim to be). They should be here on Friday.

I have a set in our Tahoe and love them, but the are a little on the expensive side.

Anybody ever hear of a search function?
This has been done and redone and the long running threads give model numbers, pricing etc....

I have the WeatherTech floorliners for my wife's MDX. For those that aren't familiar, they arent just mats but actual heavy plastic liners with 4 inch sides all around that fit perfectly into the well. I'm very impressed with the product and the perfect fit....worth every dime IMHO. I didn't know they were available for the CTS, I will certainly order them in the fall (fronts only)

Re: Floor Mat Suggestions

I'm not going to make you search.

You have a choice of going cheap or expensive. I'm going to lead
you down the expensive path.

As others have mentioned in this thread, Weathertech is the most
durable floor mats you can get. The cost for 4 all-weather mats came to
about $150. Before you choke on your morning coffee over that price, you
need to realize that these are the best mats that you can buy from a company
that is renowned for its quality.

I have an ebony interior and these are the mats I purchased:

http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvp...=790&Year=2008

Some things to be aware of. These mats don't cover a small area --
they are custom fit to cover the entire interior carpet offering unparalleled
protection from water and dirt. Also, when looking at these and other
mats for an AWD vehicle, be aware that they need to be made specifically
for AWD as the drivetrain (if that is what it is called) is narrower than the
non-AWD CTS. You'll notice when shopping around popular online car
accessory specialists for mats that a notation will be made about which
CTS you want to buy the mats for.

Let us know how you make out.

Re: Floor Mat Suggestions

I bought the OEM set. There are two part numbers, one for RWD and one for AWD. I ordered them online. They worked great this past winter. What I like about them is they have the letters "CTS" molded into them. I filled the letters in with red paint to match the car exterior color to make them stand out when opening the door.

Re: Floor Mat Suggestions

Do the OEM mats come in cashmere or only ebony?

Re: Floor Mat Suggestions

I wasn't going to show this to anyone, but what the heck. I bought 4 of these from Walmart for a buck a piece. Got me thru the winter. Now that it is warming up I can't decide if I should keep them on. My friends know they can't put their shoes on my carpet. Maybe that's why I don't have any friends left I'm deciding if I could leave the carpet bare

Re: Floor Mat Suggestions

Am I correct when I say that neither the WeatherTech or Lloyds mats go over the hump in the back?

The Weathertech doesn't go over the hump, no.
