Driver seat too low

I'm fairly short at 5' 6" and have the power seat all the way up. Although it's high enough, I would still prefer to be a bit higher, maybe a quarter to a half inch.

For you technicians out there---can the seat be raised easily by the dealership or is it a big deal and not worth the effort or money to do it? Isn't it just a matter of installing washers or spacers? I suppose it is more involved being power.

You know, i am glad you posted this question. At 5' 7" I feel the same way. I can't seem to get the seat high enough. Anybody have any suggestions ? thanks!.....CJ

I have felt this since I test drove them. Yes, I got used to it. AFAIK there is nothing that can be done other than to buy a "Booster Seat". IF we weren't such a ltiginous society, a good shop could probably raise the seat by 2" or so by welding blocks into the base. But we are, and so they won't. (Hell, probably some short guy who has an accident will sue GM because the seats are too low.........)


BTW I am 5'7" but my wife is 5'2" and absolutely hates it.

My wife is 5'2" and loves it... she think the hight is just right.....

What about tilting the backrest of the seat a little forward?

My wife is 5'4" and doesn't have any trouble. She actually has it set lower than I do and I'm 5"9".

Little Cadillac owners are supposed to scrunch down in the seat and look out under the steering wheel. From outside all you're supposed to see is the top of their head.

i'm 5'9 and like to drive it seated low...i can't lower the front as much as i'd like truth be told.

probably why i sit with my left knee bent.

Wife is 5'2" and no issues. I am 5'9" and keep it low. the car style and feel reminds me of my C5 when sitting low. I tried having the seat higher, and I felt 20 years older.
