I had some swirl marks caused by the pre-delivery prep service. (I say it's high time that all pre-delivery washing/waxing be made an optional service and only after consulting with the new owner first).
Anyway, I found a new product by TurtleWax called ICE Synthetic Liquid Polish. It has the consistency of liquid silicone, clear as water, and applied by an included foam sponge, in direct sunlight or shade, and to any surface of the car - plastic, rubber, glass, paint, chrome, etc.
After applying it to the complete exterior and buffing it off with the included microfiber cloth, every mark had disappeared and the car simply sparkled and glistened in the sunlight.
New CTS paint formulations (mine is Crystal Red) seem to soak it up.
Great product and worthy of your consideration. Here's what it looks like:
BTW, I am not affiliated with TurtleWax or any other auto industry products.
