I must agree, however, about the value of owning a Chrysler. Chrysler owners save a ton of $$ because they never need to change the oil. Simply add a few quarts every week, and you keep on running. |

The 300 is a base model with the small engine. There is no comparison between the two. Just about the only advantage the 300 has is the interior room. Chryslers have poor interior design. But all in all, my wife loves her Chrysler so the $300 per month payment is fine with me!

Inside 300C is not as nice as new CTS. Dash design is an attempt to mimic rustic design of German sedans in the same price range. Old CTS was doing it, but I am glad to see that this mimicking is going away. I think, Chrysler will return to nice interiors with the next 300 sedan. 300M felt very nice inside.
CTS is definitely likely to win in handling in tricky tests due to size and better handling design, but 300C feels solid enough on real roads. One just have to get used to boxy shapes. Especially front end where hood does not fall down as on most cars. |

Juan S. | Yup, you cannot compare to base.
No point to compare interios of 08 CTS with 300C as well. Too different design schools. The rustic design clues in 300s are similar to what old CTS used to have. |

I've never heard of a "rustic" auto interior. I'm not sure what it means, but I do like that description! Is it like having a "rustic cabin" in the woods? Minimal, worn, cozy but not necessarily comfortable-I picture a fireplace. |

They did a "refresh" on the 08 model interior, not enough for me to get another one though. The exterior was by biggest buying point. I didn't mind the "minimalist" interior at first then I felt I needed to add somthing to spice it up so I installed a Kenwood DDX7016 TV/DVD system. Some people think it is factory which was the look I was going for. With the CTS the NAV already plays DVDs (the lockpick thing looks promising).
With the CTS the exterior is just as head turning and the interior is second to none (at least in its class). |

But after sitting in a 2008 300C Heritage Edition at the Auto Show, I have to say that the 300C Heritage is the next best American sedan AFTER the CTS in my view. The 300 is just a little too big for my tastes.
I also rented a base 300 a few months ago, and there is a WORLD of a difference between the base 300 and the 300C in terms of both driving experience and interior appointments. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
