rg | Hello everyone. My bad for not introducing myself. Greetings from the great state of Ohio (depends on who you ask after the election tonight ). Thank you to those that have provided meaningful responses so far. The "300 is a box" comment was random but to each his own.
I agree that the CTS is smaller than the 300 by 4" as far as rear leg room but the other dimensions are similar. I wouldn't be in the back so I wouldn't care. |

rg | This board is not the place for introductions; it's for discussing the '08 CTS. Check the Lounge board; that's where newbies introduce themselves if they care to. http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...introductions/ |

Ironically the radio with the tivo like feature was something that originally drew me to the car (I'm a tech lover) but I didn't wind up getting the hard drive radio because you can't record radio shows . The thing that really clinched the CTS for me was that the interior was vastly superior to the 300. I can understand that some like the exterior of the 300, but I don't know anyone who prefers the interior. Chrysler really has a long way to go when it comes to their interiors and not so great quality. |

I often am listening to something when I get to my destination; great to be able to come back to the car later and pick up from where I stopped it. |

Am I incorrect? Seems like it would be an easy software fix to actually be able to record and save programming just like a tivo. Perhaps in the future. |

rg | Yep, that's what I had heard as well. I only have about a 15-20 minute commute and then it's about 4-5 hours before I get back in my car, so the tivo feature would be a bit of a let down. I'd guess they'd change it in the future unless there's a problem with media rights and recording OTA programming. |

The interior was what turned me off to the 300 when I rented one for a week. For me, interior design and styling is as much, if not more important, than the exterior.
It's where I spend most of my time with a car.
It's also one of the reasons I went with a C5 Corvette instead of an early gen Dodge Viper. I thought the exterior of the Viper was breathtaking, but the interior was just plain fugly. Granted, they've improved it over the years, but the underlying principle is the same. That the interior must at least match, if not exceed, the exterior in styling and function. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
