After looking at the price of winter mats - my plan is to use my factory mats for winter and use a new set of mats for the summer. Why buy imitation mats for almost the same price as factory mats? I can use the first set of mats for bad weather and save the 2nd set of mats for nice days/business meetings and when it's time to sell my car.

Re: GM all-weather mats

I purchased AWD mats from the dealer. Very good quality. They will show foot prints.

Actually, Black08CTS, I like the look of those mats regardless of the footprints.

I would prefer to use those, but from the photo they look sort of whimpy as far
as deep ridges are concerned to hold water from melted snow .

It must be the picture. The mats are almost 1/2" thick and the ridges are 1/4" W x 1/4" D. They put the all-weather mats I have for my Toyota truck to shame.

Re: GM all-weather mats

Ok here's a little update. The floor liners arrived today but I won't be able to put them in till tonight. When I ordered these custom fit mats I was concerned about how they would ship. They look great in the picture online but what if they rolled them up for shipping? Would they ever return to the exact fit in the picture. Yes I am a little anal about these things but I bought a custom fit and that's exactly what I want.

This is my first purchase from WeatherTech and so far I am impressed. I arrived home to see the package at my door and was surprised and thrilled that they shipped in a full size box, so no rolled up mats here. I took a few pictures and will report back after I install them with my final opinion but so far so good.

Re: GM all-weather mats

I bought the GM all-weather mats. They have two different part numbers. One for rear-wheel drive, one for all-wheel drive. Your supposed to remove the carpeted mats before installing them. There are small posts sticking out of the floor that fit through holes in the carpets or mats that keep them from sliding around (my C6 has the same thing). If you leave the carpeted mats in, the posts won't reach the all-weather mat holes. I don't know if the Weather Tech mats have the holes. I also liked the letters that spell "CTS" molded into the mats. I painted the letters red to match the car color. I bought mine online through GM Parts Direct. You can see the holes and molded "CTS" in the picture Black08CTS posted.

Re: GM all-weather mats

Ok we've pretty much discussed all the mat options for the CTS and it's pretty much a personal decision on which way you go so we won't go down that road anymore. Yes the WeatherTech's have the holes for the guide pin. I'll keep you all posted.

Re: GM all-weather mats

72Fleetwood

I'm waiting on the "go ahead" from you to order today.

I'd like to know how these babies fit and look. I'll be getting the black mats
for AWD as shown here:

http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvp...=790&Year=2008

I take it you have AWD too?

Just want to know how the fit and look is. If you are satisfied, I'll buy.

Re: GM all-weather mats

Ok they are in and it's 2 thumbs up all the way around. These floor liners fit real nice and can't slide around at all. Here's a picture installed.

Re: GM all-weather mats

You 'da man! Going to order mine right now.

...and the secret is that you have to remove the
stock mats that comes with the vehicle?

BTW, did they take 10-14 days to arrive as advertised?

Re: GM all-weather mats

I don't know about any secret, it just sounds like common sense to me. Yes it did take the 10-14 days. They must make them when ordered.

Re: GM all-weather mats

If it's not to hard to find, could you post the GM part# for the mats.
