I think my car was build on Jan. | Sounds like the same tick, the problem is the TSB confused the dealers and they dont understand that the TSB is about the high pressure pump priming at startup and then going away. This never does, its completely different and sounds like its coming right from the IP at 1200-3000 RPM LOL So hopefully we'll have a fix for this tuesday, it sounds like they already do but just need a car to test it on; Ill keep you guys and gals posted!

FYI I just got my car back from the Milford Proving Grounds and the noise is GONE! This is a known issue now and they are evaluating the fix and how to best distribute it to the dealers. I'll let you guys know when the TSB hits |

I doubt if it was that hard to fix. Prolly just swapped the engine out with a non-DI version. |

Now, I use octane 91 to test it but I still hear when I only accelerate it ( continuous clicking..tictictictictictic..)
I read it on some section on the user manual, it said to try higer octane gas.............

Got used to it | Engineering is working on a production fix right now and assuming mine stays good through this new warm spell we are getting they will send out a service solution to dealers. I wish I could say more but until its all setup I'm under a handshake style NDA and since I really liked the group I worked with I cant do that to those guys |

I would guess the urgency depends on if this is causing or related to damage, or just annoying.
can you say which? or how widespread the condition may be?
thx.

Oh that I can most certainly say, its just annoying nothing determental to your vehicle or health.. i'd break an NDA in a heartbeat if it meant saving someones car/life ect.. but yeah its just annoying Widespread I dont think anyone knows for SURE yet but it seems to be somthing that started with December builds (I'll say more when I can I hate not being able to talk about this :\) |

That ticking is making me crazy. I look forward to hearing about the fix. Meanwhile, my husband tells me to just turn up the radio!
