How to get video to play from Ipod?

Has anyone been able to get any of their video to play from their Ipod Touch of Nano?

Tried it, even had son try it, we don't think it is possible with the current configuration. We beleive the head unit/nav system just ignores any type of external known video file extensions. My son is a video producer/director/shooter/editor, I think he would be able to figure it out-but no. If you figure it out please let us know.

The system does not support video playback except from a DVD.

it can be done real easy
its just a matter of how you feel about cutting and soddering into the screens wire ribbon...

So, what do you do after you cut the ribbon and what do you solder to what? Somehow to me it doesn't really sound that easy.
