| Re: Recorded Audio DVDs Don't Work Thankfully, this one is an easy fix. You should use DVD-R discs. DVD+RW discs are rewriteable. They are always finicky when trying to play them in drives other than the one you burned them in. I think they even warn you of this on the package. Also, your DVD burning software may be set to leave the disc open after you make a burn. A DVD has to be "finalized" after a burn, otherwise it won't play in other DVD drives. If the disc is left open, you can continue to add more data, music, etc. at another burn session. Once it is finalized, you can't add anything else to it. Some DVD burning software is set by default to leave the disc open, thus allowing one to add additional music at a later session. Some software is set by default to finalize the DVD. Now you have to go into the "Options" or "Settings" section of your software and look for this adjustment.
