Do not have my cts yet-but this does sound like a tire problem. Tire guys will tell you that not all tire good even when new. |

You don't have to be nasty. I'm not a liar nor the type to play games or mislead anyone. | Perhaps you could explain why you purchased a car which had the problem. Your story has the consistency of cheese from Switzerland. But on the up side, I'm sure that some of the folks on the forum will be checking this out at your dealership. If it proves to be true, then you are in a category all your own. First, buying a car which has a problem which bothers you significantly. Then not taking the time to get the problem resolved and taking a significant $$$ loss. Then wrapping it all up with spending your time on the internet arguing about it. |

Still Major Vibration Issue. I got my car last weekend. Went for a 300 mile trip yesterday and had the car up to 95 MPH. This is my tenth caddy and I can say this is the best running, riding, and handling caddy of them all. No vibration what so ever. I couldn't believe how quite this car is even at 95 MPH. |

When you did your last mortgage did you get that at buy rate/no fees? NO!
The 5-series, GS350, E350, M35 dealers are going to give you buy rate? Right! Then again they might, they dont have the hottest car in the marketplace! Plus all the cars you stated are pretty long in the tooth already. | Get a grip buddy. The CTS is nice but it isnt even close to the 5-series or Lexus. Take another pull from the pipe!
And yes, given I knew the money factor for leases, I got quotes AT the money factor. BMW tried a 0.25% increase, but backed down immediately.
Again, there is a particular CTS lease special out there but the Cadillac dealer tries to take advantage of those less informed to see what they can pull. |

I've hated mine from Day one, but the quality of the ride makes the interior easy to over look. The CTS has a much better interior layout and look and feature rich car than the BMW. The BMW has a much better ride than the CTS. The 5er also cost a good bit more than the CTS.
Lexus has a very good interior quality of features and workmanship. Their ride is also VERY uninspiring ride. If you like that soft non-connected road feel than Lexus is by far the best car on the road.... However, they aren't very cheap either. The ES350 is closest to price of the CTS, but also one of the most boring cars I've seen inside and out... don't get me wrong... great quality and featuers... just boring to look at and drive.
For me the closest competion to the CTS in price, performance and features is the '08 Infiniti M35/45. It's a bigger car than the CTS, has similar performance, featurs and price. Rides really good and still gives you some good road feel and looks good on the road. I went with the CTS because the 2008 M35 wasn't on the market yet...

I purchased a 2007 CTS in July of "07" . Four months later Nov. 24th the rear end went out, also 3 weeks after I bought the car the evaporator coil went bad. They had to pull the dash to replace the coil. This car has been a nightmare just in the first 4 months. I will never buy another american made car again. I thought Cadillac was special - NOT..... Maybe the "08" will be different, but I doubt it. |

Sorry about your luck, but its not the my experience. I have had 4 Cadillac's in the last 10 years. Only 1 problem in that time it was on the 97 Catera, the oil cooler went bad after 80,000kms. My other 3 Cadillacs required nothing other than oils, tires, brakes.
PS I drive my cars hard as well. You should not blanket a product based on 1 experience. |

Curb weight for AWD DI is like 4100 pounds....not to mention floor mats/Nav/more speakers/luggage/gas/people thats like 4500 pounds right there vs 3700 pounds. The extra 50 HP and torque doesnt even match the heaviness. I could easily add intake/change exhaust and get +15 more HP and stuff have about 20k left over. CTS is a great car but not even near a "sports" sedan lol. |

A sports car is more about the driving experience and the ability for it to carve turns. You could have a rocket ship but would still get dusted by a honda civic on the track because you can't turn. If you're looking for 0-60 buy a mustang but please don't ever compare a CTS to a Camry, that's just a joke. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
