My Wifes wants a CTS...

So I'm a huge fan of Cadillac, but my wife hasn't been in comparison. She drives our 1999 Lexus RX (which has 280K), which still runs great but doesn't owe us anything anymore, and I just would feel more comfortable with her driving something a little more 'updated'.

So I tricked her into going into the Cadillac Dealer (honey, I need to stop here for a second...) and a 45 minute test drive later she now is dead set on a Pearl White Direct injection CTS.

Funny thing is that she's not even interested in the offerings of other comparible models (Lexus/BMW/Mercedes) - which is uncharacteristic of her.

Isn't it brilliant when a plan comes together?

It's a great era for a Cadillac fan.....

Slywun: It surely is.... my next door neighbor has always been a Lexus/Toyota fan; has a '06 Avalon (and, he has had some problems--transmission--as well as some 'fit and finish' in the interior...); he is very impressed with my '08 CTS4.

Good on you, mate! What build did you order? For my wife, we have on order an FE3 DI Lux2 (hoping the suspension is not too jarring but love the performace parts). This car brought us into a category we would not have otherwise visited. We are predisposed to American cars (with no disrespect to the fine array of alternatives) and it just clicked for us.

I had my wife test drive as many brands as possible...so she could get whatever she wants..

Never a cadillac fan before she couldn't compare the other cars in the field to the new 2008 CTS...

Its that good.

Yep...that's the one - beautiful ride you have there. I didn't originally think I would like the white but to see it in person was amazing. I can't wait to see what the next V will be....
