Most Annoying noise

whats that noise that sounds like its coming from the moonroof i have to check that its closed and it is. arrr its so loud lol.

We just took a test drive this afternoon. I was so excited, but before we even hit 25 m.p.h., the noise started from the moon roof. It sounded like a jet flying overhead (we live under the local airport departure path, so I know the noise!), and you could still hear it with the radio turned on. It seemed that the rubber piece that divides the moon roof in half was loose, because when you pressed up on it, it cut the amount of noise in half. We ended up having the dealer pull another CTS with the moonroof from their display patio, and that one did not have a problem. Has anyone else had this problem? It concerns me a bit.

(Also, when the moon roof is vented, the wind also seems louder than other cars I have had).

The Ultraview Roof definitely produces more wind noise than traditional sun/moon roofs. I was sitting stopped at a light in Century City a couple of weeks ago (the area is known for having gusty winds), and the wind was hitting the car just right, producing a slight whistle without even moving.

It doesnt happen very often - the additional noise, that is - so I dont think about it much, but if it gets worse I'll take it to the dealership and have them tighten any parts related to the area.
