I think the only way to get this from the factory is as part of the $8015 Premium Luxury Collection, but this doesn't help you any, I'd imagine if you went to the parts counter they should have a blow-up with part numbers to make this happen and then order the parts. Keep track of the part numbers, take pictures, and post your findings here - time to be a trail blazer!

Exactly my sentiments. The most simple of standard equipment on most GM vehicles yet it ain't included on a $40K Caddy? I was irritated by this stupidity/arrogance also sir.

Couldn't agree more. GM really pulled a low blow here with this mind set. One of the most appreciated and widely used technologies is opening/closing ones garage door from within their vehicle. What a great invention. That's why the universal home remote is so liked. But for GM and the Cadillac line to push one into buying an expensive option pkg to get this technology is pretty petty stuff IMO. They have a winner in this model and don't need to play that game.

Hamadeh, I was looking at the interior picture you posted in another thread and realize that you already have the overhead panel with the sun roof controls and the reading light controls. All you are missing is the Homelink portion which goes in the "empty" portion of your overhead panel. So, I believe that it would be fairly simple for you to get the actual 08 CTS Homelink controller and install it into that section of your overhead panel. It probably just snaps into place. All Homelink needs is a power supply, and the connector is probably already there. Check it out with your dealership parts department.
