White Diamond is great. My 03 CTS was that color as well as my 07 Escalade. Ya, front plates are mandatory in Oregon. Though, usually i run with out one.

Re: Post pics of your new 08's here!

BreakThrough, your car looks really sharp! I like the Black Cherry color more and more as I see it. I also saw a 3-Series BMW with retractable hardtop ('07?-'08?) in a quite similar color with a Cashmere-like interior color. Of course, the '08 CTS looks way better in that color! Have lots of good luck and enjoyment with the '08 CTS!

Re: Post pics of your new 08's here!

Here's a picture for all you golfers out there. Some one was wondering how golf bags would fit with the battery taking up space behind the right rear wheel. Actually two bags fit pretty well, if you take the drivers out (45" drivers). Here's my and my wife's golf bags. Also regarding 2008 trunk space versus previous generation. My wife flew to California to visit her sister, who has a 2006 CTS. Her three suitcases fit in our trunk, but not hers.

Re: Post pics of your new 08's here!

Having the battery over the right rear wheel balances out the driver on the left. Also, it helps get the car's front-to-rear weight balance closer to 50/50. Also, the battery will last longer not being subjected to the heat under the hood.

And it makes it easier for those of us that might stuff the trunk full of amplifiers and other car stereo equipment!!

They're somewhere in the neighborhood of 60lbs. I like it in the trunk and think it should stay there.

Re: Post pics of your new 08's here!

A 12 volt lead-acid auto battery probably weighs close to 50 pounds.

Oops, memo to self: Read to the end of the thread before posting.

Hmmm....I wonder if 4 bags will fit. My dealer told me you could get 4 in this trunk, but after looking at that picture it doesn't look likely. Did you try laying them in front to back instead of side to side? The trunk did look quite deep.

Re: Post pics of your new 08's here!

I don't think four, full sized golf bags would fit. Four medium might, two deep, two high. They won't fit lengthwise. Trunk is 45" wide, but only 40" deep.

Thats good news, my 05 does not fit my golf bag comfortably I usually wind up throwing a towel on the back seat and the clubs on top.
