Finally posting a pic of my Crystal Red 2008. I love my caddy. Came from an Acura which was a really great car but I'm glad to return (after 20 years) to an American RWD cruiser. Plus the design of the CTS is just so sexy. I find myself stealing glances all the time. |

Finally got a few pictures, so a quick introduction and hello - this has been a great community to first lurk and research and then pick up post-ownership tips!
This is my first Cadillac - last car was a '02 Volvo S60 T5 (the other European car that no one ever mentions). I went in looking at a base FE1 with an upgraded sound system and then feel in love with the performance package / DI engine when it started with that rumble From the start I was looking for a ~250-300 hp sport sedan with a manual and this one did it for me - decided to go with a 2008 off the lot to get it right away! Interior is Ebony with the carbon-fiber trim...
The spoiler, grill and B-Pillar trim was already installed by the dealer as a showroom floor display - wasn't looking for that much chrome but against the Black Raven it worked for me so there you go. Only planned changes are to swap out dome and accent lights with Putco LED kit on order from US Speed and Super Bright LEDs - idea shamelessly ripped off from Nick
(yep dreaded front license plate holder was already installed...) |

thanks...
For the spoiler, here's a snap of the only one I have currently - gets the idea across I think - its flush to the truck lid and looks more like a covering trim for the center brake light with a bit of flaring at either side. The black on black tends have it merge into one piece in pictures so I sharpened it a bit to have it stand out more -that isn't a scratch on the rear panel...
I didn't ask, but it looks like the E&G One Piece V2 to me... http://www.egclassic.com/inventory/item.php?itemid=643 |

After considerable study, testing a number of different cars, and some serious dealing, I'm now the proud owner of my first Caddy - a 2009 CTS with everything but AWD and FE3.
Many thanks to all on this board for the excellent sharing of information. |
