2008 CTS Inventory found on gmbuypower

How come when I go to www.gmbuypower.com I can't find the 2008 CTS ?

What am I doing wrong?

Here's a step-by-step for how I did it.

1. gmbuypower.com
2. at the bottom click on the 'search dealer inventory' tab
3. search for 2007 cadillac cts (example zip code is 48309)
4. then in the address bar, there will be a bunch of jibberish. just look for 2007 and change it to 2008 and hit enter
5. then a picture of the 08 will show up with a selection for 3.6 base, or DI.
6. i clicked on DI then clicked on 'continue to inventory'
7. a list of dealers will show up. for my zip code under SERRA BUICK-PONTIAC-GMC-CADILLAC, there were two cars.

you can also do the analogous procedure for 'build your own' from step 2. there is no direct way to select 2008 from the drop down menu on the first page....yet.

I am anything but stupid however your step-bystep info on how to access 08' CTS inventories does NOT work. After step 3, where is the address bar and the 07' jibberish...?

The address bar being referred to is your browser address bar (where the URL is). Single click on it, then use the arrows to move right or left to find the zip code and other references.

Any insight on how to get to that would be cool.

Only someone with access to the GM OrderWORKBENCH system can get that information (your dealership can get this info).

Thanks everyone for your assisatnce. The address bar is the BS on the top of my screen. I guess I need to learn PC language a bit more. But the system works now after you all helped out. I think the CTS will be a "hit" but a loaded up one is very expensive and I'm sure no good deals are being thrown out there yet.

Many dealers are accepting GMS (Employee) and GSU (Supplier, Supplier Discount for Friends) pricing for 2008 CTSs. Furthermore, today GM announced that people eligible for Supplier pricing can share their Supplier Discount with 2 friends or family members (really anybody). This new program is called GM Supplier Discount Plus and runs from now through October 31. Certificates issued under this program will be good for 6 months from the date issued.

So, pretty good deals are already available.

I think if you chose your options carefully you can get a great deal.

Decide what options you want and what you don't need.

I believe the value of the vehicle is based on what your looking for..

I plan to spend about 39 grand or 40 for awd, 3.6 300hp Paddle shifter along with 18 inch rims and winter sport suspension..

Work with Scott at Superior cadillac who is a forum supporting vendor and you would be quite surprised at the actual outlay for the vehicle your looking for.

Not every vehicle needs to be fully loaded and quite frankly I've given some thought to the deletion of the sport suspension with 18 inch rims as well as going with the 260hp V6 (which is the top of the line motor in the 2007 model year)

Don't be put off by the 48 thousand dollar msrp of the fully loaded product thats hitting the dealership. REmember the dealers like the first vehicles they order to be full of every option so consumers can pick and chose which ones they personally like for their own particular vehicle order..

(and the dealer makes more money with each additional option which is a good thing..but don't let that sway you) Get the vehicle that suits your needs and desires..

You won't go wrong with that. Good luck deciding...

I finally decided to go with the 300hp V6 and the 18 inch rims based off of this great forum. I'm still deciding on the high polish rims for another 800 ..

I hope to see the car in the next week or two so I can then place my order.
