Ultraview Sunroof

does anyone know if the new ultraview sunroof tilts up? i know the front part of it slides back but i haven't seen anything about it tilting up.. i'm gonna be very disapointed if it doesnt, i use my sunroof all the time, mostly in the tilted up form

ummm yeah the CTS sunroof tilts up. I have no idea what an ultraview sunroof is though. Anybody know?

AFAIK, the Ultraview has 2 parts. The front part is an extra big sunroof that functions normally. Behind the sunroof is a fixed glass panel. This is just going by the production pics, spy pics, and how these setups work on other manufacturers cars and the SRX. I would assume Caddy will follow suit.

The "Ultraview" sunroof will tilt on the '08 CTS.

Extracted from the vehicle ordering sheets for the 2008 Cadillac CTS:

SUNROOF
Power Double Sized Ultraview, Tilt Sliding with Express Open and Power Sunshade.
Optional with................ 6DM69, 6DP69
Option Code: C3U

It does tilt and retract. Here's the instructions from the owners manual.

"Vent Feature: Press and hold the front of the switch to
vent the sunroof. Press and hold the rear of the
switch to close the vent.

Sunroof Feature: Press the rear of the switch to open
the sunroof, and the front of the switch to close it."

To gm_eng: Per your post I assume you have in your possession a copy of the owner's manual for the '08 CTS. If that is the case, would you happen to have an electronic version of the owner's manual that you could share?

thanks guys.. it was really bothering me.. im glad it does bc i dont think it even comes with a normal sunroof

RAB,

I've got .pdf files of both the owners manual and the navigation system manual. How can I get them to you or post them? I don't have enough posts to send private messages (what's the deal with that, anyway?) Even .zip'ed the file sizes are 1,785 kb and 487 kb, too large for attachments.

Although I like the sunroof, I will not go for one anymore. It causes too much wind noise over 100 Mph
